The long rumoured “snyder Cut” is finally here.  The film was released in 2017, it was initially directed by zack snyder. Then he exited the film due to his family issues. The film was then taken over by the avengers director Joss whedon. He did some reshoot and made few changes in the story line. Unfortunately it didn’t go well, the movie was a total failure and it was into critical claim for the story and had some vfx issues. Fans were expecting to get the Snyder cut almost the day one since Snyder confirmed that his version of the film exists.

The campaign has started to get the snyder cut of the film. So many fans gathered together to get the final cut of their favourite director. They have done several campaign and fundraising events. Adding to that, they created an hashtag to support their movement (#releasethesnydercut). Not only the fans, even the cast of the film gave their support and campaigned for the release of Snyder cut.

In nearly three years since then “Release the snyder cut” has developed into a full force campaign from fans all around the world. Online petitions were launched, public demonstrations were held outside the Warner Bros, Studio in Burbank and Time square ads were taken out in New york city.

When HBO Max was announced, there has been some rumors that the Snyder cut will be released on HBO Max directly. WB has confirmed it yesterday on twitter after Snyder’s Man of steel party along with a Q & A section in Vero app.

“ I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brother for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all those involved in the Snyder cut movement for making this a reality”, said Snyder in a statement announcing the news.

It’s not clear yet what form the snyder’s version of the movie will take – apparently the director and Deborah snyder (who produced Justice League and is also married to Zack) are still determining whether the director’s cut will be released as a nearly four-hour film or divided up into a six-part series, according to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’.

The cost of producing the new cut (which will include re-editing the film, scoring new music, and adding new visual effects) is said to be between $20 and $30 million.

Still there is no official news on the release date of the movie but it is expected to release in early 2021.
