Suzuki Gixxer 250cc Review
Performance from inside
The chassis frame is tubular frame which makes it heavier but stronger. The motorcycle is powered by 249cc engine with a power generation of 26bhp. That’s quiet decent values in terms of power.
The six speed manual transmission takes the work of shifting your desires on roads but unfortunately it misses out the slipper clutch.
It produces 22.6 Nm torque at 7500 rpm. Suzuki is famous for its performance motorcycles like GSX R1000 and Hayabusa because of the fact the company concentrate more in their engine segment.
The engine also carry SOHC (single overhead cam) for its quick rev. The engine cooing is taken care by an oil cooling system instead of liquid cooling system. They call it as SOCS (Suzuki oil cooling system).
The SF series segment of Suzuki is inspired and developed from its MotoGp Bikes-mentioned by Suzuki adds another feather to its cap!
Also its FI system (fuel injection) which gives good and stable throttling conditions and efficient during cold start.
The mileage claimed by the company is approx 35 to 38kmpl and the top speed is 150+ kmph!. Hence it’s a competitive mileage figures and max speed in its segment.
Performance from outside
The front and rear wheels of the bike is equipped with a 2 channel ABS disc brakes. The front disc is bigger when compared to sf 150.
Well we should also talk about the riding and ergonomics. The front forks has telescopic suspension instead of USD (Upside Down Forks) to bring the cost down. The rear has mono shock coil suspension which is directly mount with the swing arm.
The Headlights and Tail lights are LED but not the indicators. The bike has split seat and a lifted tank mount which brings the rider close to the handle bar.
The maximum fuel tank capacity is 12 litres which is a drawback for highway hustlers and tourers because it limits the range of the ride.
The exhaust note is smooth and it comes with twin muffler. The instrumentation is a fully digital console with two trip meters, a clock, engine and road speed, and the gear select display. But the console is less eye catchy when compared to its rivals
The kerb weight of bike is nearly 161kgs. The company offers two Colour variants likely Metallic matte platinum silver and metallic matte black.
The 360 deg view of this bike with choosable color option is available at Suzuki official website.
